Perfect peanut!

We bought this to replace a 10 year old peanut that was still going strong, until I dropped it pretty hard and broke a piece of the blade. Otherwise, the new peanut is fantastic and seems to live up to the quality of my older one. It trims my husband's hair wonderfully and have no complaints!

I use the Peanut as a beard and neck trimmer, and I love it. My other beard trimmer (also a Wahl) requires being fully charged to use, and does not last long once it has been charged. The fact that the Peanut works when plugged in is a major benefit. The small size allows me to get in close and work with detail, and the 4 attachments spread across a decent range. It's not going to act as a full sized set of clippers for your head/hair, but works wonders on the beard and trimming the neck.

Boy am I glad I purchased this peanut trimmer.
First of all, the peanut shaped body is so comfortable to hold, which makes it easier to use.
Also, I love the fact that it is small, since I cut hair with a larger Wahl hair cutting machine, and I use this to trim the back and the edges.
So storing two large machines would be a pain.
Now, besides the size, this machine feels really solid and well made.
I know I just purchased this trimmer, but I can really attest that this is a smooth, strong well made trimmer that stands up to the test of time.
How do I know? It's because I had a really bad trimmer before, that constantly pulled on the hair, was jumpy,always snagged, and was very weak.
So, I often borrowed a peanut from my relative. When time after time of using the Peanut, and seeing how easy and smooth it was to use, I decided to purchase one of my own! And am I ever so happy that I did. I get smooth crisp edges to my boys haircuts, without any of the whining and griping!
What a pleasure!
One word to the manufacturers: This machine is a strong long lasting one, that's constantly in use. It would be so much better and easier to store if it came in a small plastic carrying case, a real container, rather than being just snapped in a plastic to sell.

making it a great beard trimmer

This thing is very powerful, and will cleanly cut beard hair without any pulling, making it a great beard trimmer. It's well made, and I quickly got used to the smaller form factor. The cord is reminiscent of a good power tool, which is a good thing since it'll last for years and years.
Only a couple things though. First, the guards that it comes with feel solid, but are a bit too small. I would have liked to have at least 2 larger guards. I even looked on Amazon for some that would fit, but there aren't any, since the peanut uses a different guard shape than any other Wahl guards. If I could just get an extra half inch of length, I'd even use it to cut my hair. Instead, I had to decide if I wanted my beard only as long as the longest guard, or return it. I decided to cut my beard down.
Second, if you use it on your bare skin, be extra careful, it can hurt quite a bit if you go in the wrong angle, or it gets stuck in a pore. I've learned to use the smallest guard for the neck, and finish with a razor for extra close shave.
Besides those 2 points, I'm really satisfied. You can tell this thing was built to last.

They changed the clippers. The new style uses a cheaper blade and a black cord. I know this because i have both styles. My older one ( shown in picture ) works great after 2 years. The new version has a cheaper blade that pulls hair . I sure hope this helps the next guy before considering purchase.
