Allow extra room for your 1/4 bass. This was just small enough that I cannot use it

Husband measured and said to buy it for 1/4 bass he had bought me. My bass ended up in the shop until just this week, and finally tried the bag on it. It's about 1/2 inch too small all over. Brand new bag with tags and I can't use it.
Mixed Feelings

It seems heavy duty, well padded, with lots of handles, but on the large size for my husband's 1939 Kay Bass. Our only complaint: the second week we had a handle completely ripped off while moving it (it gets moved twice daily). Thankfully there was no damage done to the bass, but now I'm scared to use the handles! Not sure how we're going to get it reattached.
Bass Gigbag not heavy duty.

I bought the gig bag back in February of 2015, only a year and a half ago. It seemed to be well made with lots of handles and backpack straps and storage for various items. This bag is not made for heavy use, moving the bass in and out of cars to gigs and back home. After about a year the seam on the bottom which held in the peg unit gave way, so I let the peg stick out between the two zippers which made the bag fit loosely on the bass which made it more difficult to lift and move around. The zipper to the accessory pouch came off and I was unable to reattach it. The final straw was when one of the handles on the front of the bag came right off as I was maneuvering it into my car, both sides of the handle. I thought it was a good deal but it proved to be quite a bit less valuable than I thought. Probably as a light duty bag it would last much longer, but as busy as I have become in the past year it no longer is adequate. I am giving it away and have purchased a heavier duty one from another seller.
This is a pretty decent case for the price

This is a pretty decent case for the price. No, of course it's not going to compare to the $400-$500 cases, but it's much better than others I've seen at this price point. The padding is very thick and protects the bass well, the zippers are very sturdy, and the straps and handles have held up OK so far. I've been using the case going to at least weekly rehearsals for a little over a year now and it's held up well. On a couple of the handles I can start to see stitching pulling a little loose on the edges, but they're still holding fine, and the shoulder straps are still in excellent shape. I don't actually use them backpack style, but using one strap over one shoulder and holding the bass on my side works very well for me, keeping my other hand free for stool/doors/whatever.
YOU HAD ONE JOB.

I used this case about 10 times, when I was putting the backpack straps on I had one strap on and as I reached for the other it broke dropping my bass to the floor and it then fell, hard, flat on the floor. I suppose the one star is for the fact that it protected my bass in the fall that it caused.
