Not just for frostings!

we have chickens, a lot of chickens! So we also have a lot of eggs and my son wanted this to make nicer looking deviled eggs. I looked at all the different choices for extruding but this one seemed easiest to clean and could be re-used for many years. Considering the great price, ease of cleaning, and being able to re-use it over and over versus the disposable kind, I think this was a great choice.

I'm not really a baker. I bought this for my sons first birthday. I made cupcakes and used this to frost all of them. They came out well. I've never tried to frost cupcakes with anything other than a knife. It was a pain to get the frosting in but once it's in there, it was easy to use. The more I use it, the easier it gets. I also recommend washing it as soon as you're done. There are some spots that are difficult to reach.

This was remarkably easy to use and clean. I thought it might be a pain in the butt. I bought it to quickly frost mini cupcakes, but I also used it to fill the mini muffin pan cavities. One thing to note--I used a very thick frosting that contained a significant portion of melted white chocolate--I found I had to tap the tool on the counter as I filled it in order to get the frosting all the way into the tube and eliminate air bubbles. To do this, I found it easiest to use the tip that is smooth on the edges. I switched to the flower tip partway through, only to find I couldn't tap it on the counter anymore to get the thick frosting to settle at the bottom. Surprisingly useful for baking!

This is SUCH a great product, especially for the price. I am a very amateur decorator and bought this set to decorate cupcakes for a baby shower. It arrived on time (Prime 2-day shipping). I have owned it for just over a month and have used it twice, liking it just as much the second time I used it if not more. I thought it was easier to use than the bags for the purpose I needed it for (decorating tops of cupcakes).

Easy to fill (I found this just as easy to fill as the traditional bags. Yes, there is always a little mess when filling, but that is true even with the bags.)
The tips provided were great (I was able to decorate the tops of the cupcakes beautifully.)
The price was great compared to other sets for sale
You get a great value for the price (I love that there are several tips with the set and that is is a complete set - you don't need to purchase anything additional like in some sets.)
