I fully admit that I bought this visor thinking there was a 90% chance I would return it. You see, I was looking for a visor when I saw the mom wearing this one on Fresh Off the Boat. It was big and ridiculous, but it did have a cute bow in the back. It was inexpensive so I thought "why not try it?" while still being pretty sure I would return it.

I've only had it for a day, but I can say with confidence that I absolutely love it. It IS big and ridiculous, but the cute bow in the back helps balance it out. There is really soft padding around the straps so it doesn't hurt your head, and under the bow is Velcro - which is amazing because I have a slightly larger head than most women and elastic or one-size visors often give me headaches.

The brim is extra wide and offers really great protection from the sun. I wear glasses and don't always have my prescription sunglasses with me, but with this visor I don't really need them if I'm just at a baseball game or on a walk with the kids.

I purchased the visor in black and love it so much that I may buy another color or two.

This is definitely an "old lady" visor. My 70 year old mother has been wearing this style forever. I'm in my 30s and have recently been more concerned about my skincare. It's wide enough to cover my ears and all of my face regular visors don't shade enough of my face. I don't like wearing sunscreen on my face since I have a hard time applying my makeup properly (minimal i.e. Fill in eyebrows,eyeliner and mascara) and I already have oil prone skin. I took the advice of others and removed the bow on the back.
I have a round face and larger head and the visor fits very comfortably because of the adjustable Velcro.i will be buying more in other colors

I bought this visor because I was so tired of trying to fit my big head into a "one size fits all" sunhat. This was the perfect purchase. It provides excellent coverage and the velcro closure easily adjusts to any size head. The fabric is a nice linen-looking covering and the band is soft and padded. I removed the bow with a few scissor stitches. Unlike most people, I put my hair OVER the visor because it fits me better that way and it doesn't squish my hair. If you wear it this way, I would advise skipping the sunscreen on your forehead as it will rub off on the band. Having said that, you don't need sunscreen on your forehead with this visor because of its excellent coverage. I'm not sure why it's not in the product description but the label indicates UPF 50.

Cons: I realized that the wider brim doesn't mean better protection. Short brim covers your forehead so does the wide brim but neither would cover the sides of your face so there's no point of getting wider brim visor over shorter one.

I bought this in black, hoping it would look less obvious/ dorky but I don't think there is any way to achieve that look in a visor of this 'magnitude'. That said, this is exactly what I wanted to wear driving & walking my dog, for great protection from the sun. To make it look even more dorky, I wear it very low on my head, so that I can get lower/ side face protection. I hate the feel of sunblock, so I wear visors all the time. I immediately removed the bow (5 seconds with a stitch ripper) - as I feel the bow makes it look even more ridiculous. I have many hats & visors - this is of highest quality. It will help save my face, it's comfortable, & doesn't make my head/ hair drip with sweat. It comes in so many colors, hard to imagine that it doesn't come in the other color I would like most - gray. I wear color, but don't like bright colored hats/ visors on my head. I wash visors like this by swishing around in a big bowl of soapy water, rinsing in bowl of water - then let it drip dry. Doesn't beat the visor up & cleans nicely.
