Better than two other aluminum products I've tried
Casey J. Brown•November 25, 2017
I've tried three different versions of this "add a rail". Surprisingly this plastic one is easily the best for helping optics hold zero.
Great for our 20ga. 870 and Vortex Venom.
Hard 2 Please•September 12, 2017
This works well. I searched and searched for the right mount for 20ga. 870's and without tapping the receiver, this was about the only option. I was very hesitant because it is plastic and I am funny about mounts and optics. If it don't shoot straight every time I don't want it. I was pleasantly suprised how well this functioned with a Burris fastfire sight on it. It has been flawless for years so when my second son got basically the same setup, we bought the same mount and went with the Vortex Venom. It works just as well.
Be careful not to overtighten
David•June 1, 2017
Careful not to overtighten. If you do it can prevent the trigger from resetting, even if it feels fine when dry firing. Not a fan of this method of a mount as it can affect the operation of both the trigger and the feeding mechanism. If both go wrong at the same time while loaded, then you're messing with screws on a gun that's hot.
