Great that it came with pieces too

I bought the set especially for the portability (flexible vinyl) board. Great that it came with pieces too. I know this is official tournament size, etc. but I wish the board is a tad smaller. Vinyl smell is quite strong; goes away after a few days out. I store & transport them in one of those fabric shoe (boot) bags with the cinch cord.
Portable and durable. Allows you to play at the kitchen table or at the beach!

Great tournament size pieces and easy to take with anywhere. The board can take a beating, though some of the pieces chip or break if they are dropped on tile, etc. Not a fault of the set, just a fact of life.

A fantastic set that really does a fine job for chess clubs where price is an issue and a measure of quality is still desired. One word of warning, this is not a set you would want for attending tournaments. The pieces are extremely light and that is how it is advertised, it's meant to be economical for purchasing a large amount of these for chess clubs. WE has a very good tripled weighted chess set with a carrying case for around 30-50$, get that one for your private use.

Very nice set. Plain. Simple. Nothing too fancy, but nice and large. Excellent set for kids to learn to play with. Product met with expectations.
Nice basic chess set; look at alternatives that include bag to save money

This is a nice, basic chess set that is perfect for every day play and learning. The pieces are well-made with felt bottoms and no annoying seams. They aren't as heavily weighted as I'd prefer but I knew that and chose to save some money anyway; it turned out to be a good trade-off. I would suggest that you consider the $20 version of this product that includes a carry bag. As it comes now, the pieces are in two zip loc type bags and I don't think that will survive as long term storage. If you want to add the storage bag later, it will wind up costing you more than had you bought them in that combo package.
