Realistic call
wcbDecember 8, 2016
I have to say that this call is surprisingly real...at least to the deer anyway. Even during non rut periods or periods of low activity I have called deer in and had responses. I have had both buck and does to come in. I really don't know what the difference is but it definetly works better than my other grunt tubes. I can't tell a difference but the deer sure can. It also comes with a dvd but I don't know if it's my dad player or the disc but it's a pain to try and watch it and get it to work right. I did get the section about care and maintaining your call and what to do if it freezes up (or gets stuck). All in all a pretty good purchase that I will be sure to have in the woods with me from now on.
First call, First Deer

Amazing. So lifelike. This was my first call that I ever bought. I used it a few times, and tonight, November 29th, 2015 I shot my first buck. He was a big spike, not perfect but he was my first deer ever. I could not be more happy with this call.
... roar for the lower pitch stuff) and it is good when the weather is warm

I use it mostly for fawn bleats and the higher pitch grunts (I use a primos buck roar for the lower pitch stuff) and it is good when the weather is warm. The manufacturer claims the slide can "unfreeze it in low temps" which is only kinda does. But since no one else claims this I really cannot hold it against them. I have yet to have a deer respond favorably to it, but at the same time when I grunt and bleat they also dont go running then other direction...so likely I just need to work on my calling technique.

Has a good sound but don't waste you money on the camo one. Have had the call for one month and taken it to the woods six or seven times and the camo coating is coming off. For the money I would expect it to last longer than that. Over all the sound and convenience of the call is good. I am not abusive to my tools and equipment just so you know. I don't throw stuff around and bang it up.

The DVD really goes in depth on how to properly make a call. All the way from a buck running and out of breath during the rut, to a fawn calling out because it's lost. The DVD tells you when to use the caller and when not, it takes practice. It also explains how to take the device apart for cleaning, and if need be, how to get replacement parts. I took the caller with me into the mountains, and simply put, it works. Giving an edge while also making any hunt much more exciting and enjoyable.
