Four previous tile jobs I always use the slice and crack method. Purchasing the saw made the job much more professional and enjoyable to do. I would certainly recommend the small investment if you think you're going to do more than one job, or if you think that it's critical to have exact Cuts. This was used for my third and fourth tile jobs, and will be certainly used again in the future.
If you don't mind free guiding tiles through the saw, it can handle much larger tiles than the description describes. I had no issues making a variety of Street cuts on 8 to 12 inch tiles.
Cut hundreds of tiles and it worked great.

This is all I used to cut tile while remodeling my small bathroom. Tiled both the floor and the tub surround and I used this quite a bit. The blade that comes with it seems to still work just as good as when it arrived. It's really a basic design (there's just a water reservoir that the blade dips into to keep cool/wet) but it worked great as long as you keep the water levels in the right range. It does make a bit of a mess, so keep that in mind. The table tilts at a 45 degree angle and the guide works as well as can be expected for the price. The power switch has a waterproof cover and I hosed down the whole thing numerous times with no problems (making sure to unplug it of course). Overall, this was well worth what I paid.
Excellent for DIY

This is working perfect so far and the price beat Home Depot's similar tile saw. Assembly was simple and took only a few minutes. I'm currently installing 6x24 inch plank tiles and haven't had any issues making my necessary cuts. I especially like that lengthwise cuts are working flawlessly with the Skil. I can run a 24 inch cut the length of the tile and there is nothing that the tile gets caught up on while being fed through.

So far I've been getting very clean cuts, but we'll see how the blade holds up.
Awesome little tile saw, worth the price

Great saw for the price.
I used this for 6" ceramic tile. You can probably do a bit larger, but not much.

Options at Home Depot didn't even compare, much more expensive. This thing cut my ceramic tiles perfectly. It felt safe to use, was able to do oddball cuts without issue (T shapes). Cuts look cleaner than the hand cutter for straight cuts.

Overall, would buy again, and definitely would recommend. I only did a two wall, maybe 9ft high standing shower with niches (so not a ton of tile), but totally worth it even for small jobs.
Great tool

First I should say it was our very first project - converting tub to tiles shower. We bought a pan for the shower but tiled the rest with big tiles that were about 12x22 inches. It was nerve racking to tackle this but this saw made all the cuts and clean. Including the hole for the showerhead and handles. Don't have a pic but I'll update this with one soon. BTW husband angled tile to make cut outs that were measured. Love it. Light. Small. No hassle. Especially if you have projects around the house. Saw is awesome. Tilts great too. We haven't done much care for it other than rinsing and leaving it outside. Made our nail biting attempt a pleasurable one and our shower looks awesome!
