Not bad, but not great either

This is not a bad product but you get what you pay for. I went through the web site that would tell me which size to order based on my gun. It was wrong. My gun won't fit into the holster. Even if it did, the holster hangs at a 45 degree angle from your body. Maybe this is just me but it is very obvious (not to mention uncomfortable) that you are carrying a gun. I planned on wearing the holster under my shirt but it sticks out too much.

Bought this as a present for my fiancé's brother. He loved the simplicity of the design and how useful it is as a holder. Would buy again!
Not as comfortable or great of a holster as I was expecting

Not as comfortable or great of a holster as I was expecting. I now wish I would have bought the universal rig I was looking at by another manufacturer. I bought this to carry a Smith and Wesson 44mag 4inch barrel while logging in Alaska. I am a tall guy, 6'5'' so I knew I would be running the risk of it not adjusting to my height needs. However this wasn't a huge concern as I knew I would be wearing waders for most of the trip and could adjust my wader belt to any position to make this holster fit. Even with that adjustment, the holster just didn't want to stay in place. The belt loop snaps kept popping open and are very stiff to get closed back up, the holster didn't cover the trigger as well as I would like, and the strap that holds the gun in is fairly awkward to get free and open without hanging up on the gun as you draw. I tended to keep the gun nearby on the boat or in the tent just so I didn't have to wear this shoulder rig the whole time.
Utterly worthless for concealed carry.

This holster is utterly worthless. First off, it's much too large for the gun it's supposed to fit (S&W M&P 9). It's advertised as a shoulder holster, but the belt loop is way up on the side "“ which makes it basically a belt holster with a shoulder strap. So the end of the holster shows under a short jacket or coat. It's worthless for concealed carry except with a very l-on-g coat. Finally, the snap for the gun retention strap is so far around the side, I can't reach it with my gun hand. In order to release it, I have to pull back my coat and use my off hand. (And obviously, displaying your weapon to an adversary BEORE you can get it unsnapped and ready to draw could be fatal.
Usage for non-listed 3" auto.

I agree with review dated Dec 30 2014, the trigger should be completely protected. I have a 9mm Springfield Mod.2 sub-compact and bought a size one holster for 3-4" barrel medium autos and 3-1/4" "“ 3-3/4 barrel large autos per Mike's website. The holster exposes the gun trigger. Although this gun has an additional grip safety feature, the retention strap engages it, so the exposed trigger is still a danger. The holster is also too tight for the gun.
To be fair, Mike's does not list this holster for my gun. I gambled on it for seldom usage and a low cost made by a brand name. After force stretching the holster and re-routing the retention strap, the holster does what I need it to.
Amazon gets 5 stars but Uncle Mike's only 1 star because the holster came in a damaged product package typical of a product returned by another customer and therefore likely used. I paid for a new unused undamaged never opened product. No time to return it. Gun supply competitors will get my future business.
