This is just what I was looking for because of the holidays haven't had a chance to use it. It not only sharpens knifes but scissors too.
The absolute best and easiest to use knife sharpener ever
World TravellerJuly 10, 2016
The absolute best and easiest to use knife sharpener ever! I've been using mine for about six months and I couldn't be happier! It's made for a wide variety of knives. I use it for my kitchen knives as well as my pocket and fillet knives (fishing knives). A few passes will do the job but if you really want it shark, you can make 15-20 passes and some knives will be sharp enough to shave with. I received this one as a gift so I have no idea where it was purchased and can't speak on any of that but I can say that it's been really helpful in the kitchen. I used to use a manual sharpener that would take hours to sharpen all of my knives with and now I can sharpen everything in the kitchen draw and butcher block in under 10 minutes. How's that for a time saver? There's even a trapdoor on the bottom that collects all of the grinding dust so it doesn't make a mess either. I noticed quite a few technical questions as I was scrolling down to the reviews and sadly, I can't answer any of those. All I can say is that it's been a great time saver and that I've enjoyed it a lot. It even sharpens my serrated bread knife, carbon blades and scissors. That's something I could never do when I was sharpening them manually. Even the on and off button is above average. It's big and right on front so no turning the unit over or moving it around to get to the switch. It's just an all around great machine. If you're in the market for one of these, I would highly recommend it. I know it's not the cheapest but when was the best of anything ever the cheapest? This one gets my highest recommendation so I would say buy it and use it regularly and you'll keep the sharpest knives of anyone in the neighborhood. I'm adding a few pictures of mine so you can get a better idea of the layout. Knives on top, Scissors on the end slot and the grinding dust trap is on the bottom.

Knife sharpener is fine, a bit disappointed with the scissors sharpener.
