Does okay. Cannot fold this both ways because the zipper area is a horizontal bar of hard plastic. I thought I could use it for up to its size, but you won't be able to save much space if you have a small item as it can't be folded neatly enough. I bought this size thinking I could keep my lunches in there and later if necessary I could put more things in there. Theoretically I can, but the small lunches are taking up too much space packed in this rather than by themselves. As many reviews said it is not a tight seal. It stays hot or cold for a few hours, which is good enough for regular days. I kind of wish I went for the medium size though, this is hard to fit in my backpack.

This was NOT what I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised how big it was. It keeps food nice and hot! Haven't tried using it for cold items yet
