Works perfectly with my Sony A700
Kevin Bennett•November 9, 2017
Works perfectly with my Sony A700. I got this to replace my orignial remote that I lost. I was skeptical when I ordered it because the OME remote had a lot more buttons (none of which I had ever used). But, this does what I want, which is to remote shutter my camera.
Excellent exposure remote for Sony mirrorless camera

This works perfectly with my Sony NEX 7. I bought it to photograph the solar eclipse and needed "bulb" exposures and shake-free bracket exposures. Great price and great remote.
Tiny and hard working
Jim•January 20, 2017
I've been using it to digitize notebooks, so I've already taken over a thousand exposures with it. It's still working well, on the original battery. It's also small enough to add no noticeable bulk to the camera bag, so I have it handy for group photos. An excellent addition to my kit.
Cheap, no-nonsense remote control for your camera
Vaddadi Kartick•November 3, 2014
This is a simple, cheap and reliable remote control. I use this with a Sony NEX-5R, and it works great. As you can see, it has only two buttons, one to take a photo immediately, and one to take a photo after 2 seconds.
Since those are all the buttons it has, you'll have to adjust settings on the camera itself, like aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc.
You can't use this remote control with any of the other drive modes such as exposure bracketing, a 10-second timer, continuous, etc, but that's a limitation of the camera, not the remote control.
You should be aware of where the infrared sensor on your camera is. On the NEX-5R, it's on the front (useful for selfies). You can't use this from behind, on this camera.
Finally, this remote control is tiny, so it takes up almost no space in your pocket, which matters when you have many other things already in your pocket when you're outside.
As I said, this is a cheap, no-nonsense remote control, and it works reliably.

Works perfect for Sony NEX and a6000 cameras! Went through a wash and still ticking!
Y. Wang•June 14, 2014
I was a bit hesitant about buying this since it's not "official" Sony branded. However it works perfectly with my old NEX 5N, NEX 5R, and now A6000. I've had this for 2 years now and it's still running on the same original battery. Just set your camera up to for remote mode and click away. I haven't tested how far the distance is but so far it works well a few feet away. I wouldn't be using this from all the way across a building anyways. The remote does look a little flimsy and cheap. However I left this in my pocket once and the shorts went through the wash. I thought this was done for but I pulled the battery cover off, took out the battery, and let it dry out in the sun for a few days. Popped the battery back in and BAM! Working! For around $6, it's definitely a steal! No complaints! BUY this instead of the super expensive "premium model!"
