I got this to protect new memory form mattresses and it fit them perfectly. It feels great under the sheet. I haven't had an issue to check it for water resistance, however, the back lining looks like it will do the job just fine. It looks like it would be easy to care for and would wash up nicely. I bought a second one after getting this one.

This cover has saved our mattress several times from being completely ruined by an elderly cat that has occasional bad behaviors due to her being kinda a jerk, not because of health. Messes have seeped through a little but just enough that it was easily cleaned up because the mattress didn't get saturated. But after several washings, it is less effective. I did order another one again, because I'm happy with the results compared to other protectors. Worth the purchase, as long as it doesn't saturate for a whole day and it will need to replaced after several washings due to loss off waterproofing effectiveness. Better than replacing an expensive mattress!
