You get what you pay for
Sam•March 12, 2018
It's okay... honestly not the best straightener but not the worst either! I say that because:
pro: It gets the job done. Heats up at 410 degrees, which luckily if you have a terrible tendency to go above this heat to ensure REALLY straight hair, then you need to limit yourself to this straightener haha. It's really pretty and I like that the cord rotates at the bottom of it. It prevents the cord from tangling or accidentally unplugging when you're moving around picking it up and putting it down.
Cons: if you've seen the comments that mentions there is a gap between the plates, i can tell you this is 100% true!! The gap is tiny but still, the plates should touch! Therefore, you need to grip the paddles tightly in order for the plates to touch while straightening your hair. This can be very annoying and tedious and can make your hand feel a bit sore because of the extra work! They really need to fix that but then again, you get what you pay for. A great straightener is far more expensive than this.
Final Thoughts: It's worth the buy but don't rely on it for daily use because I'm predicting i wont be keeping this for very long. it's probably best to use when traveling or sleeping over a friends house and you have to get ready the next day. But other than that, don't solely depend on this. Invest in a better straightener but dont cancel this out either because like i said, it's great for just short term use!

Does not work well

Bought one to replace my older Remington, but this does not heat up enough or straighten hair, even at much higher temperatures
Disappointed.

Stopped working a month after I got it. It wouldn't power on. Disappointed.

The tension is poor and it doesn't seem to get as hot as the setting
Love it!

Ive been using this hair straightner for years now. In fact, my original one still works, I just thought it would be nice to have a backup so I purchased it again. Even my mom has it!. It's simple to use, heats up quickly, and gets the job done fast. No complaints from me. I'm no hair care expert and I'm sure there are fancier models out there, but for my needs and the price, this one works for me.
