Great for protecting lenses, works for Nalgene bottle too.

Just holds a Nikkor 70-200 lens, with the internal separating pad removed. Or a Nalgene bottle.
The Molle seems very tight, which is better than loose but is harder to use than other external pouches. Does not come with any way to fasten with, so you have to have Speed clips or something similar to attach it with. I think it works better as a protective shell for a lens in a larger pack than an external pouch for water bottle.

Tha jelly roll was made for Camara lenses. A water bottle does fit in it. I how ever got my Wise owl double hammock to fit in side it with no problem. Also I managed to strap it to the bottom of my Plan-B sling pack. With a little bit of paracord the jelly roll is not going anywhere. I will definitely pick 2 more up so I can carry my rainfly and extra straps, which I checked and they also fit.
