Very nice poor man's alternative.

Not perfect, but definitely worth a try before you invest in an expensive alternative. I bought because the black front blade on my Henry rifle completely disappeared on a black target. Problem solved with this. The flip-side is that the blade doesn't show up as well on light colored targets. But it does show up better than black on black. IMO the compromise is a good one.
Works great

I used this on the front sight of a smith and wesson j frame. It's made my sight picture much easier to obtain and the front sight is much more visible. In a perfect world the applicator tip would be smaller. I ended up using a toothpick to get dabs of the ink and apply it to the pistol. That aside though it works well and I'm happy with it.
Works, but not clear for how long.

Seems to work to mark on metal/brass. However, the design is such that I doubt it will continue to work as the fiber-like point is going to get filled with dried paint. No instructions are included. Probably an expensive, short-term, effective way to mark brass or other metal.
It's bright and it holds when put on thick.

Can't comment on longevity but as far as visibility it's fantastic. Bought it to highlight front sights on a few pistols i have and bright is an understatement. Was using white paint but it gets lost on the target pretty easily. Left the white on the rear sights and hit the fronts with this. I painted over a few that were initially painted white and i painted a few that were fresh. Second coat and the untouched ones were just as bright as the white under coated ones. Excited to take them it for a test.

Wow! Just added a redish orange front sight ramp and white dots to the rear sight. And for about $9.00. Is it as good a some fiber optic sights? Maybe not, but it doesn't cost $40.00+ plus installation either. I actually got very nice results using the Brite-Mark paint pens. Clean surface with alcohol swab, mask-off area to be painted and apply 3-4 light coats using a dabbing action - and allow to dry between coats.

You may want to consider using the fine point pens for the rear sights.
