Pros:
It's straight and did what I needed it to
Cons:
sliding mechanism constantly slips loose when you move the unit and is total junk.
bar isn't solid and wiggles a bit so sliding it up and down past a certain point isn't always smooth and easy.
measurements are taped on, not etched.
Other:
Wish I did my research and bought a Bora.
It appears there is an "All in One Clamp XWJ Wide Jaws Fixture" device for a few bucks that could be added to this. Maybe I'll get it for the next project and hopefully at least that will salvage this purchase into something decent.

Haven't found anything better at a reasonable price to use as a straight edge when cutting plywood. It's 50" long so it will comfortably span a 48" sheet of plywood. I have a Kreg Rip Cut and it works well but you're dedicating your saw to the Rip Cut, it takes a few minutes to re position the saw in the Rip Cut if you remove it. It's a little cumbersome on smaller pieces of plywood and I don't trust the ruler but 5 stars just for the usefulness and price.
Wide body clamp has the features I need.

I specifically bought this brand and model because they make the top metal guide wider than the clamping foot underneath. This allows me to clamp the tool to the board and have the metal overhang the edge of the wooden piece.
The other feature that I had to have was the fact that the clamp will lock in place with the clamping lever straight out. Enough clamping pressure is applied without dropping the lever all the way down. This allows a board with the clamp attached to slide over a flat surface like my table saw without getting hung up on the lever.
I also own the 99 inch version which is great for those long boards.

Great for straight cuts that are smaller than the unit. Nothing more.

Great for straight cuts. Really does the job.
Its a bit fragile as the working bits are a sintered kind of plastic, my clamping lock broke within a month. And because the clamp isn't removable, this is a one trick pony that takes up space in the shop. By that I mean, on the bottom of the straight edge is a clip that allows this unit to clamp onto your workpiece giving it enough stay to make a great cut. But, you can't use it on a larger workpiece as the clamp interferes. So you can't use it as a general straight edge.
Smaller than a table saw and way easier to live with. Design needs a bit of work.

Great quality. Nice mechanism. Sometimes shifts slightly when engaging clamp.

I bought this to use as a cutting guide for my circular saw on 4' sheets of plywood. Mechanism is handy and works well but is not always accurate. Sometimes, it is difficult to set one side after the other and not have the first side move on you either before or while you are engaging the clamping mechanism. If you are using it on smooth, square pieces, you will have better luck. Still, the clamp works great and the guide remains steady once clamped into place. Having measurements on the edge is very convenient as is the hole on the clamp handle. The hole makes it easy to hang this tool on a peg somewhere.
