Very sturdy. I started out using this thing at 260lbs
Darnell Arford•August 27, 2017
Now, I'm at 235lbs thanks for this and ew exercise equipment and a keto diet.
I love that this thing has 3 different hand configurations, so I can switch between different types of pull ups. After my first worked it with this thing, my biceps were shredded in a way I haven't felt for a while. And I've been going bicep curls with dumbbells for a while. This thing is 100x easier and safer than a doorway-mounted pull up bar. It feels very solid, as long as you get the bolts into your studs, which this bar is designed to do if you have standard 18" spaced studs.

Nice product but 16" spacing (for mounting to studs) seems to be sub-optimal
Mr. Fix-it / Engineer•March 11, 2017
High quality product but the 16" on center mounts / posts seem like they are right where I want to put my hands when I do chin-ups. That's my only complaint. Comes with substantial mounting hardware so it feels rock solid when mounted to the wall.
Strong pull-up bar
B. Marsales•October 5, 2016
This pull-up bar has been great. The installation was straight-forward (esp. w/help from videos online).I had some concern that it might pull away from the wall (even though it's in studs) and it has been nothing but rock-solid. After 3-4 months, the padded grips are still in great shape. I like having the wide grip and the perpendicular handles as it allows for more exercises. Our two kids were excited about getting it and we've all been using it regularly.
Very pleased with the bar, and with the results I'm getting from it.

Once you get this attached to the studs, it is rock solid. Foam on the handles seems to be holding up just fine after six months of use.
You will have much better results with installation if you have another person helping.
Unfortunately, because of the width of my shoulders, I can't use this for standard chin-up (palms facing in). My natural arm position places my hands right where the cross-bar meets the support bars. Would also be nice if the support bars were longer, since I keep scraping my knees against the textured wall to which this is mounted.
Word of warning: I installed this on an interior wall that is finished on both sides, and I've definitely noticed some movement in the studs. The nail heads on the other side of the wall are staring to poke out through the drywall. Not the pull up bars fault, but something to keep in mind.

Be sure your holes are drilled 16" apart so the cross bar holes will align properly.

This product is perfect for what we needed! I did want to make sure to write a quick review for that ONE REASON - to warn you of that small thing missing from the installation instructions! I followed each step perfectly according to their instructions. What they don't mention (although perhaps it would seem obvious to those smarter than me) is to ensure that your wall holes from the two bracket sides do end up measuring 16 inches apart! Sure, you can find the studs using a stud finder and mark the center lines, but are your resulting center lines 16" apart? It wasn't mentioned in the instructions and I certainly neglected to check that. If you give or take a little bit on each side and wind up 17 inches apart, then you may find that your bar that stretches across will not have aligning holes with the bracket bars. In my case, I was able to drill 2 additional holes still on the studs to make it work and all holes were covered by the brackets, but it was a little bit of an unfun surprise. I'm happy with the quality of the product!
