OH MY GOSH these are truly amazing . I have used them during crossfit competitions, and recently during a marathon. I could not have survived without them. I was really worried about runner's gut from supplementing during a race but these didn't cause any upset or increased thirst. The chocolate flavor is like a dark chocolate gooey brownie.

Clearly different folks favor different flavors over others. For example, I very much like the Strawberry Banana and despise the Salted Caramel (when oh when will that fad die?). And unfortunately, my order of Assorted Fruity Flavors included Salted Caramel rather than Strawberry Banana. That aside, I prefer the GU gels over the other brands I've tried, and have used them in my half marathon training for several years without issue. I find the flavors and texture work just fine for me.

These things taste like plastic and the box I had came with a two or three that didn't seal properly from the factory and had some GU leaking out. Other than that, they're pretty good. I used them on 2 marathons and quite a few training runs. However, there's something about them that didn't seem quite right. Maybe they were quality rejects? Others I've had just had more real caramel taste.

I like these gels when I go out for long runs. It is my first time buying the variety box. I knew I would like the lemon and strawberry banana one because I have had them before. However, when this arrived today, it did not have strawberry banana and instead had salted caramel. You don't get a sealed box. It looks like someone just grabs a bunch and throws them together.
