Super little dynamo - Very clean spray!

So easy to use, really helped with so many renovation projects. It's not meant to be a big paint sprayer, but I have popped it together for touchups and smaller jobs. Really was great to do the detailed crown moulding. Very clean spray! Paint type is very important as cheaper paints cannot thin as well and you do have smack it down a bit. You must use a strainer because even a wee jam is the kiss of death with this little dynamo. Acrylic paint is an easy clean up and it comes with a wee brush. I am not keen on the circular face card that fits in the sprayer housing. You have to remove it to clean it every time and it seems to be cardboard with plastic overlay. If it fails, I may have to fabricate one. But, this unit has paid for itself in time saved and ease of use. Renovations are a huge pain and this powerful and adjustable sprayer hit all targets. You can spray angled up or down, there is a way to flip the straw around. It sprays heavily or light, you adjust it. Spray can be horizontal, angled to left or right, or vertical. I like the short cord, easy to store. All good!
Needs some tweaks but good for the price.

I was only a little worried about how cheap this is and some of the reviews had me worried too. After using this I've discovered that those bad reviews must be from people who did not read the directions. You have to read the directions. If the paint sputters you might have solid chucks of paint cause you didn't strain it or you might not have thinned the paint like the instructions tell you to do in step 1. That's why it comes with a viscosity tool. Read the directions and you will come to LOVE this sprayer as much as I do. It has saved me loads of time and paint already. I used 1.6 L of paint mixed with a small amount of water to paint the bottom part of my living room. And looking at it it doesn't even look like I need a second coat. The only regret I have is not buying this earlier. It will probably pay for itself in the amount of paint I save from using it.
Update: I used this again and was having problems getting the reservoir tight enough not to leak. It would tighten to a point and then pop and be loose again. I fixed this issue by using the Seran wrap method. I just take a thin strip of seran wrap and wrap it around the threading of the bottle then screw it on and it's air tight. I can even leave paint in it over night then peel off the little bit of dried paint on the nozzle and get right back to spraying.

This little guy saved me thousands of dollars for my DIY remodel! This is based on quotes I received from local painters. After seeing it recommended by several DIY blogs, I was scared to use a sprayer and after watching youtube videos and seeing how easy it was to use, I took the plunge! It took some practice but it cut my time in half if not more. I used it for bifold closet doors, bedroom doors, kitchen cabinets, drawers, baseboards and trim, window trim. Yes, my whole carriage house was a honey oak dream! It's worth the price. Just make sure you keep it clean, I used Q-tips in between breaks every 10-15 minutes and wiped off the sprayer hole where the paint builds up and clogs. Trust me, if you don't keep the sprayer clean and wash and scrub it throughout the day, you won't get a good spray. It's also very important to do the paint test. You don't want it too thick. Check out before and after photos. Everything you see painted white, was oak and I used the sprayer and a roller on some.

Have used it a lot past two months. Great for lattice and small jobs. If you use latex you must thin the paint. Got paint into the spaces between my deck boards and those hard to reach places around deck.
