Compact, Affordable, Comfortable, and Accommodating for 6'4 guy
Amazon CustomerJanuary 23, 2018
I purchased this futon a little over 3 months ago after deciding to try something new. I actually gave up the mattress and pillow I had been using and moved entirely to just this futon rolled out on top of a large yoga mat with a top-sheet and a few blankets. As per the recommendation of others, I roll up the futon every morning, rotate it 180 degrees once a week, flip it once a month, and hang it outside in the sun every few months. I have yet to notice any amount of compression in the futon's material, and it all seems to be holding up great.

When I first purchased this item there was a noticeable sort of "grassy" smell to it. I never really minded it and honestly can't remember noticing it past the first week at most. As of this 3 month mark, there is absolutely no smell, but I'm sure it was gone long before that.

As far as comfort goes, this futon is great for a single person sleeping on their back, but anything else may be uncomfortable to a degree. As a 6'4 guy, this futon is long enough to lay down comfortably without falling off one end or the other, but I hadn't realized how narrow it really was before I bought it. If you sleep with your arms sticking out (at all!), or you roll around a lot at night, buy a wider futon. And as far as sleeping on your side goes, this futon can work for it, but it's not great. It's thick enough to pull off short term, but if you have wide shoulders or lack a pillow, do not expect to sleep in this position.

Also I should note that this futon arrives vacuum sealed and expands dramatically upon opening. If you think you may have to return this at some point, expect to re-vacuum seal it or pay for a giant box to ship it. But at only $70, it would make for a decent temporary guest bed for the odd guest or for short-notice trips.
Comfortable & Convenient

I waited until I had used it for a while to review, but after sleeping on it for 6 months, it has more than lived up to my expectations. I threw an extra mattress cover on it (folded over) & some sheets & it has been very comfortable used on a carpeted floor. I'm a side sleeper & haven't had any issues with hip or shoulder soreness. I do roll it up most days & extended it's length by putting a couple of sofa pillows between the mattress & the wall, then my sleeping pillows on top of them.
but it's surprisingly comfortable. I thought it was going to be like ...

I got this for my son as his request, to replace his bed and mattress. I thought it was going to be a disaster, but it's surprisingly comfortable. I thought it was going to be like a sleeping bag, and I've never gotten a good night's sleep in a bag. It was MUCH more cushioned than any sleeping bag I've ever used, and you really don't feel the hard floor underneath. I was very surprised. That said, this was for him so I've never tried to sleep a night in it. Being on it 8 hours might feel different.
A must have in everyone's abode!

I must say this is one amazing find! Absolutely love the comfort it offers. We ordered it as extra mattresses for guests but we have ended up using it everyday now. It's really helpful for back pain issues although that's not been advertised in the product description(I think they should consider adding it). It could have been a little big, nevertheless it's amazing! Easy to roll it and store, especially when you have shortage of storage space like us! And yeah, you can easily carry it in your car trunk if at all you need it for any camping nights.
Great alternative to bed for toodler/ kids montessori style
Nancy EscMarch 7, 2017
I got this futon as a replacement for my son's crib. I wanted to do the Montessori style floor bed and I struggle so much to find the right solution. This provides him with the comfort and size bigger than the crib and toddler bed, and it is great because it doesn't matter if he rolls out, he does't bump his head like it happened with regular mattresses or if he fall from a bed. It is a little longer than I expected but I guess that is fine if it is used for an adult. I put a picture with my husband who is 5'9 and son so you get an idea of the sizing. Cushion is great, not to thin not to hard, I put a nice blanket on it and looks very pretty. Ideal for my black and white nursery. Some other uses could be for visitors, and to take for camping, etc.
