I buy lactase drops from disolactlactase dot com instead now because sometimes this stuff from Amazon simply doesn't work. I think maybe it's old or something. It's a Dutch company and a bit more expensive, but it's well worth it to not get sick. YMMV

Has a strange taste

I used this for milk. I found that it settled at the bottom and had a weird, off-putting taste. I later used some equate lactase pills in a different gallon and I enjoyed the result more. In either case I reccommend shaking the container after the first and second day that you put in the lactase.
This product can survive high temperatures, so maybe you can use it in cooking recipes in which you use dairy products but haven't had the time to break down the lactase using the lactase pills (which themselves would lose effictiveness because of heat)

Enjoying Milk and Cream Again

I get bloated and crampy and end up in the bathroom after milk or cream in anything unless I take a lactaid pill (or 2). Milk and creamer were the two first things I removed from my diet when I became lactose intolerant. But with this product, 20 drops in a gallon of milk removes the lactose that I cannot digest after 24 hours of sitting in the refrigerator. Just shake it up. 10 drops in pint of 1/2 and 1/2 and I am able to drink my coffee with the rich taste of cream instead of watery almond milk. These work great.
Not enough enzyme for serving

Dairy is a nightmare for me but I am unable to take the tablet form of lactase, they make me super nauseous. I like this because I can add it to my latte or a little bit of water and take it with dairy. HOWEVER, 5 drops contain 750 lactase units. Lactaid, the tablets, contains 9000 units per tablet. These drops help but they do not get rid of the symptoms. I only bought them because tablets make me sick to my stomach.
If you can take the Lactaid tablets and feel fine, stick to them. They contain a much higher CFU per serving. I would need 12 servings of these drops to equal 1 lactaid tablet. When you do the math, this gets very expensive.

Both of my children have lactose sensitivity, but refuse to take lactase tablets. So, they could not eat many of their favorite (dairy-containing) foods without getting upset stomachs. Trying to feed them only dairy-free and lactose-free products was very limiting and expensive. I wished there was another alternative to lactase tablets, but was unsuccessful in finding any over-the-counter ... and when I found the Seeking Health Lactase Drops online, it seemed too good to be true. It's not. These drops are a God-send! A very little bit goes a long way, so each bottle lasts a long time. I put the recommended amount into their water or other beverage, incorporate it into dairy-containing food I prepare, or can give my kids just a drop or two on their first bite of a dairy food, and introducing the lactase enzyme into their system this way is enough for them to digest the lactose they are eating without discomfort. Problem solved: No unpleasant tablets to take. The drops are safe and near-tasteless, so they are innocuous when incorporated into almost any dairy food or drink item. Why isn't this more widely distributed?
