I had been using a big Mason jar to hold my brushes and palette knives but it was hard to keep them separate. This works great! I can organize my brushes by size and it holds my palette knives, little pliers, pencils and erasers very nicely. There is lots of space for all.
It comes apart easily too for storage and I had no problem packing it up to take to art class. It just makes transporting so much easier.
I wish I'd discovered this product a long time ago. It makes painting so much easier.

Check Top and Bottom Alignment
Seattle Sue✓ Verified Purchase•June 15, 2016
The distance between the top ring and the bottom is large enough that it is a challenge to align the brush to the corresponding hole. I also discovered that there is a correct orientation for the top and bottom.
When I first put this together, I didn't even think about there being a difference between any of the ways three pillars could be used to connect the top any bottom. If you consider dividing the up into three pie pieces, not all the pieces have the same hole pattern. If you want your brushes to be straight up and down, the top and bottom need to be rotated to match before putting them onto the supports.
The plastic pieces will come apart if dropped. Found that out the hard way.
There's no hole in the center of the top.

Good but major flaw for sharpened objects.

Purchased Two for colored pencils & markers. The design is simple and easy to assemble. Packaging was simple & frustration free. The product is made of plastic in China. I'm mostly pleased with it except besides the top and bottom ring holders there needs to be another ring holder about 1/3 of way from the bottom. The packaging does show the multi-bin holding pencils & colored pencils. Yet, once they have been sharpened to a height below the top ring holder this product will be useless. The shorter pencils will just fall out. l suggest a redesign for the product & for purchasers it's perfect for thin markers. I'm able to fit 2 to a slot on the outer ring. Shipping was prompt & safely packaged. I would highly recommend for use with any writing tools that won't be sharpened.
Cheap and effective

Cheap and effective.
Works great for keeping all of my supplies for miniature painting in order. Cut down from using 3 cups and my draw for storage, to just this.
Not sure why anyone would have a complaint about it. It does its job well and is sturdy enough that I don't have to worry about it moving or falling apart.
Highly recommended. 5/5
*Below is a picture of my setup. To the left is the Loew Cornell 390 Multi Bin with a collection brushes, tools, and even holding my brush soap.
**I took some better pictures just to show what all is going on in there. ;)

Worth Way More than the Cost

It's a simple and cheap concept of separating your paint brushes for you. I bought it for my 7 year old "artist" who kept throwing all of her paint brushes together all of the time. This has allowed her to not only find the brush she wants, without frustration, but when the brushes are cleaned they can adequately dry without becoming damaged, matted, or in other words destroyed. It is eliminating the need for buying new brushes quicker, or I should say it is prolonging the life of her brushes. Either way you look at it, this bin has been a wonderful and inexpensive investment. If you do want a bin that turns however, this is not the one for you, it does not turn but is a solid piece that you have to turn physically.
