The machine came with instructions that said do not use dark, oily beans or it would void the warranty. That is all I drink. I called the seller to return it and they refused to pay for return shipping which was $60! The type of beans to be used should be disclosed in the description. The ground coffee shoot spills lots of grounds inside the machine - a mess and waste. The machine also came with a tube of lubricant. The description says nothing about having to apply lubricant regularly to the gears. The Gaggia descaler is $12 a bottle for one application that you need to do monthly. This machine is so finicky and tricky it really stressed me out. Returned.

I've had this machine for a few weeks now and so far I love it. When looking for a machine I couldn't bring myself to buy the cup (kcup) style system with all the waste of the cups, but wanted something simple to use. Unless you really enjoy the act of making espresso you run the risk of not using it if it's too complex. This machine delivers on ease of use. Water + Beans + push of a button and you have espresso.
I'm not an expert on espresso by any means, but this machine replaced going to the expensive coffee shops with no regrets.
My fingers are crossed that this machine will last, so far it has been working great running around 6 cycles a day.

I love this machine! Super easy and fun to use. High quality and durable. Having a built-in grinder to deliver freshly ground beans makes all the difference in the flavor and quality of the espresso. If you have more than one person using the machine (or make multiple drinks throughout the day) you may get annoyed with having to fill up the smaller water reservoir more frequently. For one long espresso in the morning I normally only have to refill the reservoir every 4 days or so. Really great purchase!

I spent a lot of time researching home espresso machines and we are thrilled with this decision! It produces amazing crema fast & easily. I would say the only negative is the small water reservoir and puck container, which require emptying and filling every other day or so. However we knew this going in and wanted a smaller machine so it's a minor inconvenience for a super machine at a reasonable price
