Being able to use your own mixture (a few drops of Dawn, vinegar, and water) and the washable pads makes a huge difference. Swiffers were ok, but left sticky surface, not to mention the cost of their refill containers and having to replace batteries all the time.. I am really pleased with these with the washable pads and my own mixture (besides costing so much less). So much more effective than the Swiffer Wet Jet, I had one of the Rubbermaid Spray mops for about two years and the sprayer croaked. Ok, I bought a new Rubbermaid Spray Mop, but overall that was much less cost than the Swiffer things and I won't go back to the swiffer things..

It is definitely worth the cost! I just checked my order history and realized I've had this for over a year now. I was a little worried about the fact that the u-joint is made of plastic, but after a year of use I haven't had any problems.
I worry about the throw-away culture I live in. It just seems unnecessary and harmful. This is a product that allows you to avoid those disposable pads, while being just as easy to use. And honestly, I think it works a lot better because it is able to scrub better than those disposable pads.
Just about a month ago I found a really great steam mop at a thrift store, so I haven't been using this as much, but it is well worth keeping around. Dead simple to use and does a great job.

I used a Swiffer wet jet for years but when mine finally died I decided to try and find something that was more eco-friendly. I have been moving away from strong chemicals and disposable products so when I came across this i was very excited. I have had this for quite some time now and absolutely love it. I also purchased the reusable dusting pads for this and they work on my old swiffer wet jet. I now let my 4 year old son use that to dust the floors and he gets excited about helping. I am very happy with this and will purchase again if it ever becomes necessary.

The mop and pad are both heavy duty. It is so easy to simply spray the floor and push the mop. No bending over necessary. The mop pads are so well-made that they still work well after several washes. I feel that this mop is a money saver in that you don't dispose of the pads and the same mop accommodates the dust pad that is also washable. I love my mop!
