This was easy to assemble
Liz•February 27, 2017
Okay, I read all the reviews and decided to purchase. I was unsure because my trek was 1100 miles on interstate. There were no reviews for long distance. Well, here's mine. It was FABULOUS. It was mounted with a Reese reducer to fit on my Reese 2" receiver on Dodge Journey. This was easy to assemble, mount bike, and even cover. I transported a women's beach bike cruiser and it fit without a wiggle. The v-saddle it sits in keeps the tires still and snuggling close to the rack protector shield. It is easy to disassemble, and store in the hatch. Took less than 5 minutes to remove bike, pull pins, release hitch, and store in back. Traveled through 40mph winds at interstate speeds in inclement weather and handled beautifully.
Amazing bike rack

2 of the rubber wheel straps have broken after a year of use, BUT the Velcro straps included can more than keep the bikes secure to the rack without the rubber straps. Drove 1200 miles on one trip with this rack and loved it, only negative is if your car is low to the ground it could scrape while backing down a driveway, but if you pay attention this can easily be avoided.
Best available.

Easy to assemble and use. Clamping to wheels instead of frame is the only way to go. Fits our 2011 RAV4 with the spare tire on the back door perfectly, without modification or removing the tire cover. Quick to remove, disassemble & adjust. Bought it for wife, and she loves it.
Decent Bike Rack, No Major Issues

Decent bike rack. As stated in other reviews, there is some wiggle within the hitch, but so far not a big deal. Bikes do sit slightly low when the rack is mounted on a Ford Fusion, but just take it slow over speed bumps and backing out of inclined driveways. I did have to remove the bike pedal that is adjacent to the car to make it easier to load and reduce the chances of scratching the car.
Affordable and Dependable

Overall for the price I am very satisfied. It is easy to assemble and carries our bikes with such stability that I forget we are traveling with our bikes. The only downside is lifting the bike high enough to mount it and also positioning the pedal on the first bike mounted so it doesn't interfere with the pedals on the second bike. If you read the instructions carefully for the initial assembly and also for bike placement I think most customers would rate this rack as an excellent choice and definitely affordable. It is an excellent value for the money.
