Perfect replacement for my attic fan

Be careful with the nuts for the power leads. Don't let them fall inside the motor
Did the job

Needed to replace a 50 year old attic fan motor that still worked, but had a bad pcb card. Just need to fine tune pulley size
Motor performance

I bought this motor as a replacement for the whole house fan motor that I've had operating in the attic for the last 10 years. The motor generally runs about 12-14 hours straight during the spring, summer and fall months, so it gets a lot of continuous running. I've had this motor running about 2 weeks now and it is performing great. On top of its performance, it is also a lot quieter than the original motor that I had. It's a bit heavier and larger than what I had, but it installed easily and does the job.
Packaged very well!

I liked the price the shipper had it there way ahead of scheduled delivery
which was great. I used the item on a whole house 30 inch attic fan which was probably
30 years old. The mounting bracket fit great and it came with a shim to increase shaft size
from 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch.

used in a shop built sander

I used this motor for a 2" sander I built from the plans which appeared in woodsmith magazine. At 1/3 HP it does OK for the sander although for this particular build I would probably recommend a 1/2 HP motor or higher. This motor was the recommended motor according to the plans but it really only just meets the minimum requirements. I am super impressed at how quiet it is.
