If you are having a knee replacement get this first ...
Sadie•December 25, 2017
If you are having a knee replacement get this first. It enabaled me to sleep through the night vs being up all night putting ice on my knee. Nights were torture before this machine arrive. I had one from a previous knee replacement that was not working. I ordered this too late and had many sleepless nights until it arrived. It makes a huge difference in your healing!
Just be careful not to freeze your knee. Wear some pj pants and then put a light pillow case around your knee under this. You don't want frost bite.

Life Saver After Joint Replacement Surgery
Deanna Jill Pugh•December 8, 2017
Absolutely a must have for joint replacement surgery. A friend told me he originally bought one when his wife had shoulder replacement surgery (and they bought the shoulder attachment) and it was so helpful, they bought the knee attachment when he had a partial knee replacement. I just had a total knee replacement and I simply cannot imagine getting through this recovery period without this and the knee attachment. It's great that you can conserve water by using the amount of water required for The recirculating and then use something like blue ice packs, frozen mini bottles of water, or the like to take up the space required for ice.
Just what I needed!!

Great machine! A friend told me to get this, he said to take about three small plastic water bottles, remove a little more than a quarter of the water and then freeze them (expansion.) Place the frozen bottles in the machine, along with the water amount specified in the directions. I do love this machine, the only problem I had was it is easy to fall asleep to the very soft humming of the machine, and if you are someone who is a mover and shaker in the bed while sleeping, I can see this possibly getting broken. But if you had surgery, or aches, and are aware of your immobility, then consciously you might not do any damage. I could definitely feel the circulation around the knee pad, it worked perfectly!!
Great Product
David Ceboll•November 17, 2017
I ordered this product, Ossur Cold Rush Device, prior to my total knee replacement on November 6th. I also ordered the cold rush knee pad. Today it's been two week since my knee surgery and everything (my knee and the machine) is going great. The product has worked flawlessly since I started using it two days after my surgery. I would definitely/highly recommend buying this product if you're in need of one.
Perfect for tibial plateau fracture TPF
navyblue•November 13, 2017
Ordered this after sustaining a terrible tibial plateau fracture (TPF) that required surgery. I also ordered the universal pad so I can use it around my knee, leg, or foot (dislocated) as needed. Filling it as directed, the ice lasts about three hours for me. I think if I was more mobile (still only partial weight bearing on crutches) I'd figure out how to freeze some solid blocks of ice to fit in the machine so the ice would last longer. Someone should make a mold!
Anyway, this thing has been great. No complaints.
