Great Wipes for Photography lenses
Mr. Honest Product Reviews✓ Verified PurchaseJuly 25, 2017
Great solution for outdoor photographers who take photos near water or in the fog to keep moisture off the lens. To help you get a better idea of the product, I've uploaded a video.

Love them for glasses

I keep ordering these again and again. I use them to clean my glasses with.

I make my own solution with alcohol and a drop of a popular brand of baby shampoo. I typically fold the wipe in half, spray it on the wipe, then wipe both lenses. Normally have to do two, with less solution on the second one, however, this is normal. I have yet to find a wipe or anything I can clean my glasses with using only one.

If they're very dirty I'll spray the solution directly on the lenses first.

It's much more cost-effective than pre-packaged wipes, yet it's more convenient and gets my glasses cleaner than a microfiber cloth.
good for lenses and for some craft projects, too

I am about five years out of biochemistry graduate school now and every now and then, in my day-to-day life, there are things from the lab that I wish I had at home. Kimwipes are some of those things, and thankfully, something accessible to the general public.

These were good enough to clean fingerprints and smudges from delicate optical equipment in the lab, including quartz cuvettes for various spectrometers, so I know that they won't scratch up my (polycarbonate) glasses, when I need to wipe them off. (Damage on glasses from, say, Kleenex, is not always evident right away, but scratches accumulate over time. With Kimwipes, you just don't start forming scratches.)

These absorb a little liquid. They are pretty thin and I wouldn't suggest using them in place of Kleenex when you have a cold or something, as they are not really designed to have a lot of absorbance.

I bought them for craft purposes. There are some times when I have to sand and clean a metal blank or a wire, before adding a color (e.g., enamel, alcohol ink, etc.) or soldering them or something. Of course I work with gloves on, but to just do a last step wipe-down after other cleaning procedures, I use these! They are lint-free so I am not adding junk to the surface of the metal that I have just cleaned, and they don't scratch anything I don't want to be scratched.
Great for cleaning lenses!

I found out about these because we use them at work for various cleaning of parts related to electron microscopy. I have a camera and some binoculars at home and was tired of using microfiber cloths to clean the lens and wondering if the cloth held and oil or grit in it that could damage the lenses of my equipment. These wipes are great because they are single use. I just keep a little bag of them with my camera and some with my binoculars and clean the lenses when necessary without worry of scratches. Great peace of mind. Also great for glasses!
Bought them for glasses...meh

I bought these for lenses on glasses because I kept struggling with lint and dust on my lenses and I'm kind of picky about that. These don't really seem to remove the lint any better than anything else, though, and they are quite rough and papery. For "delicate tasks" I expected something a little less like paper. But I mean, I guess if they are for science projects maybe it's not so bad, and maybe I just should not have purchased them.
