Only used one so far. Seems to keep odors away unless I forget to empty the pail after a few days. Then the pail really gets stinky. I think they are washable but I doubt they would work as well

I have the counter top Exaco Eco-2000 2.4 Gal Kitchen Compost waste collector, these filters fit exactly as the original one that came with the Exaco Eco. Very pleased! Package got to me in 2 days. Made for our kitchen compost pail. Fit well and they do stop odors very well. Last about 2-3 months depending on what strong odors we have in the pail. Have used these for 6 years with no problem.

This truly blocks odors for an extended amount of time. I can only put my compost out weekly and rarely do I smell anything; except when it is time to take the compost out, and even then, the odor is faint. Changing the filters is easy. I'm very impressed and pleased with the purchase of the container but more so these carbon filters.
