This has been very useful! If positioned correctly (under the patient's shoulder area) it has been sensitive to unexpected movement and "uprisings" from my disoriented patient. Alarm has three volume settings, which are quite adequate for my needs. I have been using the device for over a month now, and so far, so good. I keep it plugged in to the recommended AC adapter, as I don't want to risk an unexpected battery depletion. I understand that the pad itself has a non-replaceable battery, so I got the "one year" version, to be safe.

Bought this for my handicapped foster son 2 years ago & it just stopped working so back for another one. Well worth the money to replace every 2 yrs if needed. My son is ambulatory & was getting out of bed without assistance - a practice that caused injuries in the oast
I sleep so much better knowing that the alarm is in place

This product has literally been a lifesaver. I am a caregiver and was up and down each night with my Mother. I could not get a decent night's sleep because I was anticipating when she would wake and worried I would not hear her. This mat works well, the chime is loud enough to wake you but not disturb the rest of the house. I recently took it with us as we evacuated due to Hurricane Irma. With battery backup, I didn't have to worry about any power outages. I sleep so much better knowing that the alarm is in place.

My 93 year old mother has always been a dynamic and independent woman, a recent illness requires 24/7 care. During the nights my mother has been getting up without asking for assistance, this is potentially dangerous.
I purchased This bed alarm to alert me when mom is getting out of bed. It is so simple to connect: place 3 "c" batteries in alarm box, turn on. Pess or sit on pad for 30 sec... that's it! Alarm chimes (the lowest us plenty loud) in the room you are in, silence in my mother's room. I placed the pad under the mattress pad so it is less noticeable. My mother is unaware it is there. Now my mother can stay safe and I can sleep well knowing I will be alerted when my mother attempts to get out of bed unassisted.

Sensor is awesome would recommend it to everybody who needs one. I placed it under waterproof sheets in between 2 Chuck's and still does not inhibit the use of the alarm this has been a godsend
