Floor receptacles recess boxes are normally shallow, this is 4 plus inches. Floor receptacles are normal situated on a stud pinned under a floor and so there is no need for such a large housing for this item. Looked nice if you have a clear drop to house it but way too big for me
but what's plugged in I dont intend to move very often and with a toddler around it is best that he can't get into it anyway

As described, does the job. I had it installed by a professional, no problems. You will have to use a screwdriver or something to open the cover, but what's plugged in I dont intend to move very often and with a toddler around it is best that he can't get into it anyway.

Very high quality and durable. I would purchase more. I like that the latch to the outlet can be closed after the chord is plugged into the outlet. Make sure installed in the direction you want to open latch. I need to switch mine as they open into couch not away from the couch.

It's fragile, broke mine right away. The slide "depth" adjustment disconnected and wasn't the same after.. I wouldn't recommend but it does look great. Put it in gently if you do go with this
