Use template to cutout hole in floor

Used for floorbox outlet under kitchen table. Also to plug in grommet type use-ac outlet at table for absolute convenience. Use the template to cut out the hole for the box. Easily adjusts to proper floor height.
When unlatching the cover, use a small screwdriver to pry the cover plate open. Do not force. Also make sure you have enough clearances under floor and away from any joists also. Mine is installed through ceramic tiled floor. But with proper tools it's easy peasy. Purchased the grommet usb- outlet from Amazon also. Great products. Very pleased with both items.

Most floor plugs have the plugs even with the floor surface, sometimes with a cover and sometimes not. This unit has the plug about 2 inches below the cover so that only the cord comes out of the opening in the cover. There are gaskets which cover the opening when not in use. It's very attractive and all the components were high quality.

I wanted a floor plug that had a low profile so that if my furniture configuration changes, it will not be noticeable under a rug. I purchased 2 of these kits--nothing else. The hard part was getting the holes cut in the solid hardwood floor. I strongly suggest using a jigsaw. My electrician said these were the easiest electric floor outlets he had ever installed.
