Warm, good price, great foam pad

As good as recommendations.
I tested it on snowfield at about 27 degrees. I put a 16mil tarp on the snowfield first and then a tent. And then, I put the pad in the tent.
It's freezing when I touch the ground of the inner tent. I can feel a cold steam from the ground so I try to fold the pad thrice and sit on it. That keeps me warm. And I can't feel any cold steam when I sit on it. :) It's still cold inside, I still need two long sleeve cloth and a winter puffer jacket to keep me warm in freezing air.

Uncomfortable

Pretty dog-gone uncomfortable, but I guess that's my problem. I should have tried it out at a local store before buying it. I have to admit it's still better than the ground, though... I accidentally pulled it through a door where the little collapsible lock part comes through the edge, and it ripped through the reflective material there. I was kind of surprised how easy it was to damage. Since learning that, I haven't damaged it further, due to increased caution.
I think if I bought it again, I'd at least get the foldable version so I could sit on it at camp or along the trail. That version should be the same uncomfortable pad with more features, I think. Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't tested the folding version.
I'm on the market for something better. This thing gives the worst night's sleep and ruins my day. Very sad.

Amazing sleeping pad!

Works wonders to insulate. This sleeping pad is amazing to say the least. It will absolutely keep your body heat separate from the surrounding ground and does a fair job at smoothing out surface texture. Definitely recommend for cold-weather camping.
Super lightweight pad, adds comfort under a sleeping bag.

Great sleeping pad for biking or camping. It was lightweight enough that it could be bungeed on the back of a bike along with a sleeping bag and it added practically no weight to the the load. We rolled it up and it does have some bulk to it while rolled, but it was worth it to have a bit of extra padding under the sleeping bag. It also retains heat, or rather reflects your body heat agains the silvery surface. We only had one night that was slightly chilly so we didn't really notice this feature at work. On the warm nights, it certainly didn't seem to overheat us. Therm-a-Rest came highly recommended and we're glad we picked this sleeping pad.
This is an excellent closed-cell foam sleeping pad

This is an excellent closed-cell foam sleeping pad. It provides provides great insulation, I have used it on many nights spent over 10,000 feet where temperatures dropped below freezing. It is very lightweight and durable. The grooves do gather dirt but that is to be expected and a quick shake outside the tent fixes that problem. Yes this is not the most comfortable sleeping pad (but that is what you should expect from closed cell foam pads). You cannot compare the comfort level of a closed cell foam pad to that of an inflatable. Compared to other closed cell foam pads this one is quite comfortable, but if you are really worried about comfort you should consider buying a an inflatable. However, for the price this pad cannot be beat. If you are on a budget or just a beginner in the backpacking world this is a great option. Even though I have since upgraded to a sea to summit inflatable, I still often bring this along and use both pads (using this one helps keep my more expensive pad over the ground so it doesn't get damaged).
