Had trouble getting the first 2 slices out but otherwise the crumb cake was delicious. I will be ordering again the near future.

I have to say DELISH! Bought this as a morning treat for my husbands birthday-stuck a happy bday candle in it & he loved it. Moist, nice amount of crumbs that didn't fall apart as soon as the fork hits it. When you get to be 45 & older, flying in the face of birthday cake tradition is acceptable;)

It was almost like the Entennmens NY Crumb cake that I grew up with. Unfortunately, we cannot get crumb cake in California. Even the few bakeries around here do not even make them. The only problem with the cake I received was that the bottom and sides were a little overdone and had that taste to it. The cost was over $25.00 to get it shipped from David's Cookies. I think it is overpriced. The cake is the same size as the Entennmens I remember that we paid around $6.00 for.
David's Crumb Cake

Growing up in NYC, crumb cake was a staple for sweets being able to get it freshly baked at European style bakeries. In the West it came down to
Entenmenns which was decent, but usually mushy. It's not marketed in the Denver area any more and unavailable over the web. There are some
local versions,e. g. Sam's Club, King's Sooper, which is Kroger, but their version are usually mushy and the crumbs too hard. The one from David's
is very good; the only improvement that I would recommend is to lighten up on the powered sugar.
This is an update. Entenmenns is available on the web, either packaged as one or three. I bought the three of course; arrived in almost perfect condition. They were gone in a matter of days.
