I am giving a mediocre review for this product giving lackluster performance without actually falsely advertising itself. It creaks when you step on it, making me fear that it will break, and it is not actually very comfortable on the feet as the slats eat into the skin. As an additional note, as this would have been helpful for me to consider, the mat adds about an inch or so of height to whoever stands on it, so if you have a low ceiling in your bathroom you may be looking at an uncomfortable neck-craning in order to see into the mirror.
Great for Outdoor Foot Rinse

This is our second bamboo shower mat. We use it as a standing area for an outdoor foot rinse at our beach house. The first one got washed away by Hurricane Matthew..... It is sturdy, and just right to stand on for a quick rinse. I recommend putting several coats of spar varnish on to help keep it clean and mildew free.

Bought this to go under my outdoor shower, and I love it. It's pretty and functional, very Zen looking. We have some heavy people in our family and this is holding up well in spite of the sun, the water, and the weight of those using it. Can't beat that!
This was a great alternative. She doesn't have issues with slipping anymore ...

I was looking for something my daughter could stand on in the shower that was not plastic. This was a great alternative. She doesn't have issues with slipping anymore and it dries quickly. I know this is supposed to be used as a mat for outside the tub, but I think it works just as well inside the tub if you are looking for alternatives to plastic products. I love it.

It's nice and works great. Teh only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because the slats started to ge loose after a week and slide as you move. I haven't gotten a toe caught between them but its still possible. The other reason is that with a heavier body, i think it would be more supportive if there was 2 beams underneath instead of the one in the middle. when a person stand, they don't place their feet in a line front to back, they place them side by side. this mat doesnt have the support right where it is needed. I am just under 200lbs, as is my husband and we both feel it needs just the support beams either moved or 2 more added to support under the feet. Other than that, its a really good piece and i love it. :-) We have a shower curtain and when showering in the evening, it is dry by the morning mostly. It's easily moveable for if i need to move it from the tub.
