I"ll be honest, I use this in my grow room and get great results.

I was looking for mylar but realized that it's way too expensive. I decided to try these and let me tell you, they work just as well as a roll of mylar would and they only cost a fraction of what a roll would cost you. I didn't use mylar with my last grow, and that's the only variable that I've changed with this grow and I've noticed phenominal results. My plants are actually around 1.5 the size of the last ones. Same strain and everything.
For those of you who are actually using this as a blanket, I've also tested them for that. The are pretty durable. I mean as durable as 1mm of mylar can be. Good at insulating heat and keeping you warm. Pick these up if you're going camping, or even on a long car trip.

Ok, so I am cheap.
We were looking to set up a hydroponics grow room and I balked at the price of mylar sheeting for the walls. So I thought........ "I wonder if there are inexpensive emergency blankets on Amazon?" And "YES" here they are.
They are only 1 mil thick, but that is plenty durable enough to tack up with push pins, like we did. The plants aren't complaining. And the blankets look kind of cool on the wall, because they come folded up into a small rectangle. So when we opened them up and hung them, the creases in the mylar made the walls look like they have metal tile on them.
So, I can't vouch for these for warmth, but they seem duable and well made. They aren't ripping at all when we tug on them, even where the push pins are through them.

I used these space blankets inside the windows of my back porch to reflect the sweltering Florida summer sun. Far easier to put up than blinds, I merely used nearly invisible clear package tape. You need to use two layers of blankets to make them completely sun proof. Or, if you wish to see out a little, use (1) blanket. You can easily take them down in winter, and throw them away they're so cheap, or reuse them!

I got these to keep in my emergency kit in our family cars. Initially thought these were cheaply made due to how they are assembled..
two sheets sealed at the edge.. basically giving you 2 layers of material
With them open at one end they can be used like a sleeping bag thus retaining more heat around your body ..
I am using them to insulate a portable green house during the winter.. the double layer of material retains more heat than the single sheets I used last year..
