I wanted sun protection with style and this definitely fit the bill. I've worn it all summer, it shows almost no wear and still provides good rain protection. The chin cord is essential for me but stows away nicely when it isn't windy.

I have a fat 7 5/8th's head. I bought an XL that is supposed to fit a fat headed person with a 7 5/8 inch head, it does and perfectly. So just on that, I am happy. The thing is well coated to repel water, we shall see how that holds up. Bought for kayaking, general outdoor stuff, and something I would not cry over if I destroyed the thing doing those. So far, so good.
Oh, and it seems to tolerate mild shaping without much effort. So that is a bonus. So yay, I got me a tolerable outdoor doing things hat that seems like its gonna work out. This is a surprising hard thing for me to find. So, yay.
