Pretty good. It is NOT its own lense, it goes on existing lenses (58mm). But it works pretty well, making a standard or telephoto lense into a wide angle, and the price is really good. BE CAREFUL, though. Do NOT use auto focus with this extension as you can break your autofocus motor. Do NOT be zoomed all the way in, be at about half way zoomed out if not using on a fixed/prime lens.

As stated, its great for macros but yes it does have distortion on certain viewing angels / distance, BUT i can say my girlfriend is still very happy to have a camera extension that actually makes a difference, for 30!!? Cant beat it. And the owner admits it has tiny flaws but is made up for with the money savings, so how can you go wrong?? It is still a great unit.. 30$ for 30% more features or $1,000 for 70% more features.. 30 is fine with us lol

Make no mistake: this is not an expensive piece of glass. Expect chromatic aberration issues toward the edges, and less than stellar resolution under some conditions. The macro adaptor portion of the unit turns out to be more useful than I expected, for those occasions when extreme close-up is called for away from the studio and the copy stand.

This thing is really good, everything what I have expected, the glass is high quality, didn't degrade any pictures, plus the macro works too... so I the only reason I put 4 stars is because it's not perfect, but for the price I think it is. This extension is heavy so if you're using it for sliders or stabilizers put that into account.

I work at a construction company and was having trouble taking photos of the buildings we built. Not enough of the building would fit in the frame. This lens solved my problems! Now, I can fit so much more of the building in the frame. The best photos with this lens are when I zoom all the way out but then zoom back in a bit to prevent all of the vignette effect on the corners. I should have bought this years ago!
