The first one of these I ordered came poorly packaged and dented. The grid wouldn't fit inside dish, and I figured out after I ordered a replacement that it wouldn't fit because it wasn't completely circular. It wouldn't fit into either dish. After I left feedback about the packaging on the first order, I received a second order that was packaged exactly the same way and more dented than the first. It seemed that that the two grids I received were manufactured in different batches because the thickness and size of each cell of the honeycomb were different. I swapped grids and dishes from each order to assemble a functioning combination, and dish worked as intended for one shoot. After that, one of the small, needle-like pins that holds the dish in position fell out. Now I am past my return period and have beauty dish that doesn't work. It's a shame because the images I got out of the one shoot were great.

I got the revised version, which is very sturdy, well made, good quality and although I am not that great of a photographer, my portraits look better using this light modifier. recommended.

Good value for something that can be used easily and efficiently.

The bracket is a bit unstable (mine was missing a nut/bolt when it came, but that was easy to solve,) but the light modification is excellent. Good value for the money. Might not hold up forever, but at this price you could buy another a few years down the road without breaking the bank.

The quality of the light is gret. The unbrella bracket is the weak point but it's holding up fine so far. It looks like a better bracket could be fitted if the supplied one fails. Can't beat the price.
