Warm sounding

Warm sound. Take a bit longer to settle than synthetic strings, but the quality of the sound is well worth this little inconvenience.
Modern balance...

As a professional concert violinist, these strings are my favorite, especially considering a young (made in 1991) violin I am using.
Their qualities balance well with the loud, sometimes harsh tone characteristics of a modern instrument.

I have always been a fan of pirastro strings. These have a beautiful crisp yet warm sound. Great for anybody from beginners to intermediate players.

I have read the reviews from all the very qualified violinist. I am not those people. I am a 54 year old self taught violinist probably playing all wrong who learned by watching YouTube videos. I have an old German Stainer violin copy. I love the violin but I was always in search of a deeper richer sound as I love playing romantic pieces. I read about these strings and took a chance and bought them. Yes, I had to tune them every 15 min the first day. Every 20 min the next etc. Its been about 2 weeks now and I can play for about 2 hours without tuning it but let me tell you - SO WORTH IT. I will buy these again. The D string is SO SOFT. I am in love with these mellow warm strings and the beautiful rich sound. I never thought I could sound so good. Gone is the tingy bright sound that I never liked coming from my old German violin. It's like a fine smooth wine. Its quieter and smoother and warmer. I love these strings.
Also work well for students too..

I have been in search of more suitable strings for my daughters' violins for many years. I found it extra difficult to bring extra warmth to 3/4 violin. After trying a lot brands and model, my search journey comes rest on this set of strings. This strings, with its deep tone and long lasting resonance, truly make the instrument sings with passion. To add yet another confirmation to the praise for this strings, I want to point out they worked out fine even on a 3/4 violin.
A common concern on gut strings is their durability. In my case, they have a long life - with about an hour per day of use, they have served in good condition for more than ten months. Then the aluminum wrapping cracks on A string, but the D and G string still keep going. Bottom line is they out last almost all my synthetic strings. So these strings can be even more economical if your location is as dry as California.
Yes these are professional level strings. But they can also be for students who have developed good pitch recognition and have enough dexterity to manipulate the pegs of smaller instruments. For those who are seeking for rich colour and silky soft touch to make trills, the strings deliver all without breaking your bank.
