Tasty, well cleaned and nicely formed kernels
Deena BeamanMay 14, 2017
I have really missed having corn bread and the packaged ones are always too salty for me. The kernels are clean and well formed and grind up nicely making a wonderful tasting cornmeal in our stone grinder.
It makes the Masa harina flour taste like cardboard. Soaked the corn in pickling lime overnight

I bought this to make masa. I have ground this with the handle and also with an Indian wet mill, the ultra pride. The masa is delicious. It makes the Masa harina flour taste like cardboard.

Soaked the corn in pickling lime overnight, ground and cooked.

The corn is clean, whole and yummy. We vacuum sealed the 25 pounds in individual 2lb bags for easy storage.
Great corn at a great price!

I bought this corn to grind my own cornmeal and polenta, and I've been very happy with it! Upon opening the bag, I divided the corn into smaller bags and froze them to extend the shelf life - whenever I need to grind some I take out a bag and let it defrost overnight beforehand - works great! The corn is of good quality, and makes some of the best polenta my family has ever had! It's been over a year since I purchased and I am down to my last bag on the freezer, will definitely order more!
Yellow Organic corn of very good quality, taste, value
Jacobus deRottmannDecember 28, 2016
I was delighted to find Organic yellow corn, with the dominance of GMO corn on that market.
Tried sprouting kernels to see how viable they were. Sprouted, no problem. Yes!
I ground some into corn flour with my K-Tec Kitchen Mill. It is fine enough to sub for cornstarch in some things.
The taste and texture of the corn flour from it were very good. I made herbed cornbread with very good results. Might try a coarser grind next time just to see.
And, thinking of trying to make tortillas. Heh heh.
I shared some corn flour with a neighbor who made breakfast mush with it and liked it very much.
I put it into glass canning jars to protect it. About to grind some more and on the last half-gallon jar. There's a good chance I'll buy this again if available.
I quite like products from this company

I quite like products from this company. I like to buy in bulk because they offer what I need.

Strongly suggest freezing these for at least 24 before opening! I think they even suggest freezing when it arrives. I ordered a couple of bulk items from this company and 1 of them had a very large worm that didn't hurt my product because I froze it! Pretty good quality assurance for this type of commodity! Freeze it then store it wherever you like! Would order this brand again!
I bought this, flaxseed, and wheat berries all to make different types of bread! I haven't found the magical mix of fresh flours yet, but I get closer with every experiment. The corn tasted great in cornbread I made, nice and sweet. Not sure if I bought the right kind of corn for making bread though...
