Works for 1991 with or without rail

I have the same holster for different guns, got this for my new TRP Operator. It works... but it needs a strong break in. No issues other than you can't actually draw the gun because the tension is vice grip strong. Ideally this will wear in with a bit of time. Fair price - Get this, and save for a crossbreed super tuck.

Very, very satisfied!!! Super supple leather means no break in. Can reholster one handed versus using two hands with my Tagua. Smooth draw with good retention. Fits both my full-size TRP as well as my compact Range Officer. I'll probably have to adjust the cant a bit for an SOB position but other than that it's perfect! Very nicely done, Galco!!

Aside from the 1911 being a long gun to cary, this holster performs exactly as you would expect. Holds the gun secure, yet reholstering isn't an issue, even without loosing up the belt. I usually carry at the 3:30 position and need a pant size bigger to be comfortable. Personally, I took out one set of screws so the clips would be more giving, as it sort of dug into my side with both screws left in. Not enough of an issue to affect the rating though.

This is a very nice holster. The leather feels good and it fits my 1911 well. Mine is the range officers model with a built in rail on the bottom. Sits snug in the holster and draws well. A bit hard to re holster but all IWB holsters are that way I think. As it breaks in a bit more i think this will get easier. Overall very happy with it.
Good, but not a permanent solution.

I have used this holster for the past year with no complaints until recently. The belt clips no longer stay in position and as a result the entire holster plus my pistol will move slightly during use, potentially causing discomfort. The plastic shell has also cracked. While it is still useable, the pistol no longer snaps into place. The crack in the plastic shell has reduced how well the holster retains the pistol, it is much easier to draw and reholster but also will slide out if I lean over too far. I will be replacing it, but with a holster of a different brand this time.
