Solid addition to my SAR Kit

After joining a search and rescue group we began diving into navigating and plotting search grids. At the suggestion of our National Guard liaison our class was told to acquire a protractor / scale.
This item has the flexibility which I was looking for while also being quality enough to not require babysitting inside my bag / box of stuff.
The scales seem to be pretty accurate and is certainly within the tolerances I needed for my application.
The degree markings are flush with the outer ring which I was cautioned about when comparing other protractors whereas people were taking scissors and cutting off excess to improve their capabilities.
