Okay, I'm an old guy who enjoyed the movies about the tough guys who rode "Hogs" and got into a bit of trouble back in the old days. A little bit of Marlon Brando in "The Wild Ones" is in my mind when I put on this jacket and it's comfortable, with that leathery smell, too. I like it.

I purchased this as a birthday present for my husband. He is usually an XL and that is what I ordered. I read a lot of the reviews before and probably would have ordered the XXL if it was available. Unfortunately, that is the one size that was not available. I even watched the item for a few weeks to see if it came back in stock. Since it was for his birthday I decided to take a chance on the XL so I could have it in time.

This jacket is incredibly well made. You could feel the quality of the leather and the stitching was perfect. I particularly liked the fact that this had a zip out lining vest to allow the rider to wear it in warmer weather as well as cooler temperatures. And it is a heavy jacket. I also appreciated the back waist padding and the additional elbow padding.

It does run small though. My husband could get it on and zipped up but it was just too tight across the shoulders and chest for him to comfortably wear it. I would have tried to exchange it for the XXL but at this time that size is still not in stock.

I did take some pictures before packing it up to return. Especially since there are no photos on the listing of the side lacing or the back side of the jacket. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the lining inside before I taped the box shut but take my word for it that that is high quality too.

Pros:
- Quality! This is a very high quality well constructed jacket.
- Design. A very well designed jacket. Pocket locations etc are all conveniently located right where they need to be.
- Ruggedness. This jacket would offer a lot of protection in a motorcycle crash etc.
- Price. This jacket is a steal for what they are selling it for.

Cons:
- Sizing. I had to guess, based on other reviews to get the proper size. In a short I wear a 35 neck 17 sleeve and bought a 2XL jacket which fits perfectly.

The bottom line:
I would recommend this jacket to anyone wanting this style leather jacket. Sizing is a little tricky but because of the quality and value for the price I would easily give this jacket a five star rating! What a deal!!!

I was worried this may not fit after reading the reviews. I'm 6'2" and 250lbs with broad shoulders, a big back and a 36" waist. I normally wear 2X in everything and sometimes 2X cloths fit loose on me. But 1X usually is too tight for me. So, essentially I'm mostly between a 1X and a 2X for perfect fit. I got the 3X and it fits me like a glove. I can even fit a 2X zip up hoodie underneath. Only tight area is the neck (very tight!). But thats not a big deal to me. Other than that, the zip in liner is a joke. I'm pulling the zip in liner and going with a flannel or hoodie underneath when it's really cold. Seems like a well constructed, good quality leather. I hope to enjoy it for years. By the way, the tassels are only sligthly tacky. But hardly a deal breaker.

This is a heavyweight, high quality jacket, and looks just as good as the picture. But I was surprised to see a motorcycle jacket run so small, especially in the waist.

I'm 5" 8", 170 lbs, and wear 34" pants. Getting my medium jacket on is a real struggle because it's very hard to get the zipper to come together. I can't really wear anything more than a t-shirt under it.

The chest (I'm a 42 there) fits fine, and I wouldn't want a large because I think it would be too big in the chest. But the waist tapers a *lot*.

The "sizing chart" is unfortunately just a generic chart that lists traditional suit jacket sizes instead of S-M-L-XL. So you'll need to browse around in the reviews to find the right size based on your own measurements. But if you can manage to get one that fits you, you'll probably like it. It's a pretty good price for a premium leather jacket.
