Beware, this cable only functions in one direction, to provide a HDMI signal, to a display, from a Display Port output.
I bought this to provide a video signal from my laptop's HDMI port, to my monitor's DP input and fought with it for longer than the return period.
To be fair to the supplier, the included documentation does indicate this, but, I've never thought to read documentation for a simple video cable.
The supplier provided this link to an adapter I will try now: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQORLCG.

Worked perfectly. I had a computer and the HDMI wasn't always working with my projector, sometimes it just wouldn't connect and when plugged into the xbox one it almost never worked. So I bought this and used the DisplayPort instead (why don't more things use DisplayPort? It seems superior) and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Cable works as expected and the wire/heads are of quality material; it loses one star as the lock on the displayport continually catches instead of releasing cleanly. I work as an A/V and IT professional at a very large University and have seen this exact issue destroy the ports on many machines.. It did not resolve the issue I was having, but this was due to hardware limitations and not the cable.
