Very small- choking hazard?

These are going to be awesome once my kids are old enough to play with them safely. I bought these on sale, so I'm happy to store these for a few years, but they are much smaller than I'd imagined, although measurements are given. I'd say that at about one-inch cubed, the cubes still pose a choking hazard for my still-very-mouthy three year-old. Some of the flat pieces make me uncomfortable for the same reason. Very high-quality, open-play toy that we're going to love in a few years, but not for us with toddlers in the house!

My daughter loves these and I know they will be enjoyed for years to come which is why I didn't mind spending more for a special little gift. The quality is amazing they are just beautiful and even entertaining for mom and dad to enjoy playing along with our LO. After some research I found these were a great price for this size set. These blocks are small for what you pay for. I bought these for my 5 year old for his birthday. The magnets are not strong at all and they are only at the ends of the blocks, not all the way through. You can't really build anything cool or worth it at all. My son was frustrated and bored after 5 minutes of playing with them. Then my son proceeds to go play with his $10 thick wood regular building blocks for 45 minutes, what a waste. I even received this on sale on black friday at Amazon for $75 and it still isn't worth that price. Also, i thought it came with wheels, but it doesnt you have to buy that seperatly for $15. This item might be good for 1 and 2 year olds but any other age it's not worth the price. I returned it for magformers and my son loves them.

These are SO MUCH FUN. My toddlers may not understand magnetism and polarity, but they can figure out how it all works with these blocks. The price is a bit blood-draining, so the next time a family member ask what toys or presents the kids would like, I'll tell them this so we can get a few pieces at a time. These also just FEELS high quality - the wood is so smooth and the colors so consistent.
Great fun whether you are 3, 5 or 35 years old!

My son three year old son and five year old daughter absolutely LOVE these blocks. We just got our set tonight and played with them for about an hour. I had to promise we could play with them again tomorrow. They are just FACINATED by them and I can see their brains working as they manipulate the blocks. Without thinking they work out the polarization of the magnets and keep turning the blocks until they can get them to go together the way they want. It was lots of laughing and playing for all of us. We will definitely be adding to our set soon.
