Damaged upon arrival, then fixed...great bike!

The bike I ordered arrived damaged. Cracked headset locknut and damaged fork steer tube (see images). There was NO damage to the shipping box, so I believe the damage occurred before packing. The damage prevented me from assembling the bike. I contacted Firmstrong directly via telephone. They were extremely easy to deal with and confirmed to me on the same day that replacement forks and a new locknut would be shipped out immediately. The parts were received yesterday. I completed assembly and my daughter is now thoroughly enjoying her new bike!
The bike itself is very nice quality. Assembly is extremely easy. once assembled, the bikes feels solid and rides smooth and effortlessly. I'm a single-speed fan, but my daughter wanted a multi-speed. The twist-shift grip works well. The gear transitions are appropriate. It's a quality bike I would recommend to others. Firmstrong was extremely pleasant to deal with in prompt replacement of damaged components.

Love my new bike and the purple color! Very nice ride, and a comfortable ride. My only complaint is the seat post bolt broke when I was adjusting the height of my seat. I called Firmstrong and they wanted me to take pics. and send to them so they could submit a claim, said it'd take several days to ship a replacement. Not what I wanted to hear!! I went to Home Depot and spent 30 minutes looking for the correct replacement...everything is metric on this bike.

I love my new bike! The seat is very comfortable, it's a beautiful color and sitting upright while I bike is such a nice feeling. My back and arms aren't sore after a ride any more.
Putting the bike together was a little tough, there were lots of different size tools we needed but once we had them all it was good. And the seat moved while pedaling unless I tightened it a LOT! But now it doesn't swivel. I would highly recommend getting the 7 speed unless you're on flat land because even with the 7 gears small hills can get a little tireing.
Overall, love the bike and would recommend it to anyone, young and old.

The beach cruiser arrives in one rather bulky box with the back wheel attached. You will need to attach the front wheel, handle bars, peddles, etc. I opted to assemble the bike (as best I could) and then walked it to my local bike shop for a tune up which was half the cost of having someone come to my home to assemble it.
I wanted a bike so I could ride with friends and to get a little exercise. I love the purple frame but the black handle bar grips and seat were a little too masculine for me so I swapped those out with white, added accessories and voila!

This bike is well worth the money light weight but strong built, wife absolutely loves it after having a Schwinn similar to it, the weight difference is night and day the comfort is no comparison, don't be fooled by the Schwinn name , This beach cruiser outshines it in every way, bought the optional fenders to put on the bike, and matches bike color perfectly looks very very nice. If you want to have a very nice and comfortable riding bike you can't go wrong with this beach cruiser.
