Great sound.
This unit is amazing! Fits the Batwing Faring beautifully

This unit is amazing! Fits the Batwing Faring beautifully. I put it all together, then spent $50 having Car Toys run and hook up the wiring to make sure I had the connections good and solid. I'm using it with a Sony Walkman, and it sounds great at 70-75 mph. I wish I had done this years ago!
Mind blown! Literally

So I did a lot of research on different stereo configurations before deciding on the Hogtunes. I have the Memphis Shades Batwing on my 2014 Street Bob and love it. I was skeptical of spending $400 for a stereo so I made sure to look at every option. Basically the options are buy the Harley Boom! Audio for the same price, the Hogtunes, or some cheap cycle sounds or shark audio system. The reviews for the Harley Boom Audio were horrible, people complained of losing audio at interstate speeds. The Hogtunes seemed to have some mixed reviews as well but overall much better than Harley. So I decided screw it. I must say that wow am I impressed! I made sure to turn the volume down on my ipod before playing the music so I didnt deafen myself. At first the bass was awful and distorted all the sound so I went to the sound settings and used the bass reducer setting and it cleared it right up. Time to try it on the road.
Going through the neighborhood I turned it up pretty loud and people who were out walking were turning around a full block ahead of me to see where the music was coming from! I cannot believe how loud and clear this stereo is. The true test was at interstate speeds. I went on some back roads to try it out at 60+. Ended up getting to about 75mph and could still hear it perfectly. Tried putting it on full volume and honestly it was too loud for my ears going over 70mph. Anyone looking to have some music on their motorcycle should definitely check this out. It took me about 45 min to install and am very pleased with the Hogtunes stereo for the batwing.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that if you have ape hangers such as myself, you will have to roll them back a bit in order to make room for this stereo. It sticks out quite a bit and ultimately the only thing I could do was roll my bars back a little bit, making them about 2 inches lower. I can easily put them back up when I have everything disconnected but kind of sucks it wont fit the way I want. Just a little extra info for those guys with their knuckles up high!

fits better than expected, but be sure to tuck your windshield in the slot on the amp for a more solid fit or you could crack your fairing like I did. Otherwise this thing cranks as loud as I need. sounds great up 80mph too. speaker grill fades to a nice purple though. And I hate purple.
