Buy it. Best digging tool ever. At first I thought the handle was too short but after using it is is perfect. If you need to dig more then move up to a 2.5 lbs. pick axe. This tool is perfect for removing the first layer of grass and for chopping small roots. Any roots larger in diameter then your thumb maybe a struggle. Wood working can be done with it but I don't think the metal holds a edge long enough to use as a wood adze. For planting it is great.
Not much to say here - it seems to work ...

Not much to say here - it seems to work. But then again, unless you accidentally hack your foot off, it has no operational issues.
